seen but unseen

Portobello Road, Notting Hill

The Natural History Museum

Ikon Gallery, Birmingham

Sometimes the things I like to look at are obvious, like dinosaur skeletons, and sometimes they aren't, like graffitti on a wall or a carving at the top of a building.
I think its the things that aren't that feel more rewarding
Maybe because it feels like you're seeing something that might never have been seen before
or maybe something that has been seen but has never been noticed

Every day when I walk to work there are about five of these seen but unseens
One day I will photograph them all

Until then you will have to make do with some seen but unseens that other people will also have noticed but which are still a secret

Oh those are great - especially love the scrabble tiles! always a winner! I love looking out for less-noticed things - details or corners or perhaps less nice bits of something. having a camera with you does make you appreciate these things more too, i think. Would love to see your five unseen things!

Since starting my blog I have begun to notice (and photograph) the most strange things! much to my hubbys embarrassment sometimes!
