Trying to take photos of myself (and failing)

*
Eating cake which at first looks blue...

...but is actually a giant rainbow!

Hurrah for making bets!
Whilst I didn't make it, I did get the best comeback line ever.
In response to "so how are you going to better it?" I said;
"By making it in the right order"
Zing Pow.
*
Finding joy in charity shops

(anyone know where I can get a matching milk jug?)
*
Going to local gigs

*
Gasping in amazement at seeing a Shetland Pony on the grass between here and the chippy

*
Being honest!

*
Seeing if I can pull off wearing (fake) flowers in my hair (not entirely sure)

*
Being three inches braver (though it frightens me)

*
Loving my new handbag

and seeing just how much I can fit into it

*
Making the most of the glorious weather by washing
everything in our house and seeing this on a regular basis

And as well as all of this, I have been forgetting to take my camera out on a regular basis, thus missing out on photos of;
Chamber choir rehearsals held in the sun in a back garden with beer a plenty
Visiting the gorgeous new flat block my friend has moved to (and the fairy cakes I took with me)
Horrific sun marks after sitting in the sun a moment too long
Lots of sunshine pub moments
The canalside picnic during the 'dinner interval' of Lohengrin
Not one but two delicious upside-down-red-onion-pies
The back of a cardigan I'm hoping to have finished in time for Malaysia (but given that's a fortnight away I doubt it!)
Once again I find it has been a month since my last post. I really have no excuses, but I find that working in front of a computer screen for seven hours a day makes me far less eager to switch the laptop on when I get home. I do try and keep up with all of you, but even that seems to slip by the wayside from time to time. I don't want to write off this blog, its been too important in terms of introducing me to so many of you lovely people and has been great for me as a means of recording things I've done. I'm not sure what it is I'm trying to say; perhaps that normal service has resumed, but that normal service is at a considerably reduced rate compared with the earlier days of this blog.
Is that eloquent or is it just a jumble?

2 people other than me read this:
It's life, that's what it is, and it looks like yours is excitingly full at present. Make the most of it - we still have you in google reader or bloglines or wherever so you won't go unread when you do get a minute!
Oh and yes, you can do flowers in the hair. Very lovely.
yes I think the flowers look lovely too, and the dress. you have been busy. enjoy x
